A new panel discussion with students and faculty was held at Rice University on July 29. This time Dr. Hector Klie, our CEO, was kindly invited to share his perspectives as Rice alumni and entrepreneur on how Data Science is part of his current duties and seems to be evolving in the future. Students from Statistics, pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Computer Science were among the audience in this virtual event.
Besides Dr. Klie, the panel counts on the participation of students Emily Meigs (MIT) and Steven Moen (University of Wisconsin). The panel was moderated by Angela Lin, Computational and Applied Mathematics Ph.D. student.
This panel is part of a series of panel sessions regularly organized by the D2K group at Rice University under the direction of Professor Genevera Allen.
