Undoubtedly, Data Science and more generally AI, is transforming every corner of the Oil and Gas industry. As a result, many academic institutions are adapting the education curricula and research objectives to be best prepared for the current and future changes entailed by industrial digitalization.
On October 7, 2019, the School of Earth, Energy and Environmental Sciences (EEES) at Stanford University took a committing step towards promoting collaboration and innovation on AI among faculty members, technology companies and the industry. This is indeed a turning point for one of the most recognized and respected schools of the world in the area of Earth Sciences. Deepcast.ai is pleased to be able to participate in this inaugural workshop among other highly regarded technology startups that are seeking to facilitate the digital transformation in the industry. DeepCast.ai was represented by Hector Klie, CEO, and Arturo Klie, CTO. Their participation involved exchanges with Stanford faculty members who present their research and perspectives, discussions in roundtable working sessions and presenting a poster and laptop as technology showcase. There was a total of 56 companies represented in the workshop.
