The DeepCast team was pleased to participate, present and exhibit at the EAGE Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Technical Meeting that was held in Houston on March 2, 2020. The event count with even participation of geoscientists and engineers interested in knowing how to streamline their operational process with the aid of machine learning. Approximately 80 people attended the event with presentations from Shell, ConocoPhillips, Repsol, Fairfield, Halliburton, Emerson, Baker Hughes among others.
Arturo Klie, our CTO, presented the work “Scalable Detection of Early Production Profile Trends from Public Data” where he showed that auto-forecasts can be performed on thousands of wells in a matter of a few minutes. The technology incorporates tagging of multiple production events as well as multi-segment identification of different production regimes. Additionally, the presentation disclosed new results using the proprietary PhysAI technology to perform forecasts accounting for multiphase flow and well interactions.
